  • Fitbit released a teaser video for an upcoming announcement on September 28, 2023.

  • The individual in the video is sporting a wrist-worn device.

  • The Fitbit Charge 6 could potentially be the device.

Today, Fitbit released an updated version of their app. However, this was not the only news from the company. It seems that Fitbit will also be revealing a new device, possibly the Charge 6, next week.

Fitbit recently shared a short six-second video on its X (previously known as Twitter) account. The video features a man smiling at the camera and swiftly moving his arms from left to right before ending the recording. The screen then turns black, revealing the date September 28, 2023.

The post on social media is teasing an announcement, but what exactly is it about? It may not be obvious at first glance, but upon closer examination, it appears that the man in the post is wearing a wrist-worn wearable device. Although not confirmed, based on the bands and display, it strongly resembles the Fitbit Charge 5.

A previous report indicated that the Charge 6 will have a striking resemblance to the Charge 5. Based on this hypothesis, we can assume that the date featured in the video is likely intended for the unveiling of the Charge 6.

The company skipped launching the Charge 6 in 2022 when the Sense 2, Versa 4, and Inspire 3 were announced. But that’s not new, as the latest model of the Versa also skipped a year before its release in 2022.

The newest range of Fitbit products did not experience a significant price alteration compared to the previous version. If the trend continues with the Fitbit Charge 6, it may be priced at approximately $179.
